We have different levels of treks, from easy to difficult, and we can recommend a trek based on your fitness level and experience. Before booking with us, we recommend consulting with your healthcare provider to ensure that trekking is safe for you. During the trek, our experienced guides will also assess your fitness level and will make recommendations on the suitability of the trek for you. At Trexpert, your safety and wellbeing are our top priority. We understand that having a heart condition can make some physical activities challenging, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't go trekking. However, before embarking on any trekking trip, we require all our clients to fill out a health form that includes questions about any medical conditions. This is to ensure that we can make necessary accommodations and adjustments to your trekking experience. We also highly recommend consulting with your physician before signing up for a trekking trip, especially if you have a heart condition. Our professional trekking guides are trained to handle emergency situations, and we carry a first aid kit with basic medical supplies on all our treks. However, we cannot provide medical assistance beyond basic first aid, so it's essential to come prepared with any necessary medications and medical equipment. During the trek, we encourage our clients to take it slow and listen to their bodies, taking breaks and hydrating frequently. Overall, if you have a heart condition, as long as you consult with your physician and communicate with us beforehand, we can work together to create a safe and enjoyable trekking experience for you.

At Trexpert, we prioritize the safety and comfort of all our trekkers. While trekking is generally a safe activity, as a solo woman trekker, it is essential to take extra precautions. Our team of experienced and trained guides knows the trails and surroundings well and will accompany you throughout the trek, ensuring that you are safe and protected at all times. Our guides are knowledgeable about the local culture and will be able to provide you with valuable insights into the area you are trekking in. Additionally, our trekking routes are designed to offer you the best possible experience while minimizing risks. We recommend that you follow the advice of your guide and take care when trekking in remote areas. We also advise that you inform your family or friends of your trekking itinerary to ensure that they are aware of your whereabouts. At Trexpert, we want all our trekkers to be safe, comfortable, and enjoy their trekking experience to the fullest.
Trexpert understands that unexpected situations may arise causing you to cancel your trekking plans. In case of cancellation, the following policies apply: - If the cancellation is made 30 days or more prior to the start of the trekking tour, a full refund will be provided. - If the cancellation is made between 15 - 29 days prior to the start of the trekking tour, 50% of the total cost will be refunded. - If the cancellation is made less than 15 days or during the trekking tour itself due to personal reasons, no refund will be provided. - In case of cancellation due to natural disasters or any unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, Trexpert will provide an alternate date or issue a full refund, as per your preference. Please note that the cancellation policy may vary depending on the type of trekking tour booked and the specific agreement between Trexpert and the customer. We recommend reviewing the terms and conditions before booking a trekking tour with us to ensure a better understanding of our policies.
At Trexpert, we strive to run all our treks as scheduled. However, in rare circumstances, such as natural calamities, adverse weather conditions, or security issues, we may have to cancel a trek for the safety of our clients and staff. In such cases, we offer multiple options to our customers. Firstly, we provide a full refund of the trek cost, or you can choose to transfer your booking to another trek on a different date or destination with us. Additionally, we can also help you plan alternative activities in the canceled trek's region or arrange an adventure in another part of the country. We understand that canceling a trek can be frustrating and disappointing, and we try to make the process as smooth as possible for our clients. Our team is always available to support you throughout the cancellation and rebooking process and ensure that you have an incredible adventure with us.
We understand that circumstances may change, and you may need to cancel your trek with us. We recommend that you notify us at least 30 days before the start date of your trek to avoid any cancellation fees. This will give us enough time to make arrangements and update our team. If you cancel within 30 days of the trek's start date, we'll impose a cancellation fee of 50% of the total trekking cost. If you cancel within 15 days of the trekking start date, we'll impose a cancellation fee of 75% of the total trekking cost. We advise you to carefully read our cancellation policy before booking your trek with us to ensure that you understand what happens in case of cancellation. At Trexpert, we strive to make your trekking experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, so don't hesitate to contact our friendly customer service team for more information or any further questions you might have.
After you have cancelled your trek, if you have opted for a refund, the refund amount will land in the same account in which you have made the payment. It will take 7-10 working days. If you have chosen a trek voucher, it will land in your inbox within an hour. You will also be able to see it on your Trek Dashboard.
Frankly, this has seldom happened in the history of Trexpert that we have cancelled a trek because there have been no trekkers. Almost all our trekking groups run full, so it's not a worry. Even if our groups have just 4-5 trekkers, we will run the trek. So you can go ahead and register without worrying about it. In a one off case, where only 1-2 trekkers have registered in a group, we may merge the group with a previous date / next date, in a way that it does not inconvenience your travel.
On Trek days, toilet tents will be set up along each campsite.
A toilet tent will have a deep pit, where one can answer nature’s call. There will be a mound of soil and a shovel to cover it up. These are dry toilets, where you’ll have to use toilet paper. There will be a room freshener as well. It’s the most hygienic and convenient way to answer nature’s call in the wild.
Trexpert takes hygiene very seriously and strives to maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation on all their expeditions. While toilet facilities may vary depending on the location, Trexpert provides toilet tents with fresh running water, toilet paper, and hand sanitizers. It's still a good idea to bring wet wipes even though Trexpert's toilet tents are equipped with water for cleaning as they can be an effective alternative in case there is an issue with the water supply. It's also critical to practice good hygiene when trekking. Always wash your hands or use hand sanitizer before and after using the toilet, and avoid touching your face, mouth, or eyes. Additionally, proper disposal of waste is essential. Trexpert provides eco-friendly bags to pack out your toilet paper and other hygiene products properly. By following these guidelines and bringing wet wipes as an extra precaution, you can help ensure a hygienic and comfortable trekking experience with Trexpert.
Most of our treks have a group size of 21 trekkers on average. This can change, though, depending on the difficulty level of the particular trek. For treks that are in the difficult or moderate-difficult category, there would be between 15-18 trekkers in every group, while treks that are relatively easier can have group sizes of between 21-24 trekkers.
At Trexpert, we aim to give our trekkers a unique community experience. For that, it is essential they get to know and gel along with each other closely. In fact, we have designed our basecamps in ways to get the community closer together and with great success! That is why we don't arrange for a separate room.
We provide you with healthy, nutritious food thrice a day on your trek. There will be snacks in between too, and sometimes pocket snacks for the trail. You’ll be served mostly North Indian vegetarian food coming to your meals. So your typical meal will include roti (Indian flatbread), sabzi (vegetable), rice and dal (lentils). You’ll also find familiar food like khichdi, rajma chawal, pulao, pancakes and sandwiches. There will be copious amounts of hot chai and soup, of course!
Yes. We do serve Jain, Gluten-free or Vegan foods on our treks. If you want to opt for Jain or vegan or gluten free food, you can mention that to your experience coordinator via call or an email. If you have a personal preference that is practically possible for us to arrange, inform your experience coordinator to confirm.
