The Valley of Flowers trek (also called Phoolon ki Ghati) is one of India’s most scenic and beginner-friendly monsoon treks. It’s a surreal world where over 600 species of wildflowers bloom after the rains, creating a painter’s palette of colors.

Day 1: Arrival in Rishikesh | Drive to Joshimath

Kickstart your adventure with a scenic drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath. As you weave past rivers, towering mountains, and valleys, the journey itself sets the tone for the trek. On arrival, check into your homestay, rest, and prepare for the trail ahead.
Day 2: Trek from Joshimath to Ghangaria

After breakfast, begin your trek toward Ghangaria. The trail follows the Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga Rivers, passes through lush forests, and is dotted with dhabas for snacks and tea. By afternoon, reach Ghangaria — a charming village surrounded by Himalayan peaks.
Day 3: Trek to Valley of Flowers

This is the day you’ve been waiting for! Trek into the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Valley of Flowers. Spend time soaking in this paradise before returning to Ghangaria by evening.
Day 4: Trek to Hemkund Sahib

Wake up early for a steep climb to Hemkund Sahib, the world’s highest Gurudwara, perched beside a glacial lake. Surrounded by seven snow-capped peaks, the sacred site is also home to the rare Brahma Kamal flower. After some peaceful reflection, descend back to Ghangaria.
Day 5: Return Trek to Joshimath

Retrace your steps back to Govindghat and then to Joshimath. This downhill trek offers a fresh perspective of the valleys and waterfalls you passed earlier. By evening, settle in at your homestay for a warm meal and rest.
Day 6: Drive Back to Rishikesh
